rosemary?

Thanks, but defintely not rosemary... similar looking from a distance but the foliage is much softer and wispy.
I did originally keep the label (can't locate it now) and it's name was not something I recognised.

I've looked at quite a few pictures of 'erica', it is by far the closest match I've seen yet.
The only differences are the flowers on mine were flat (not bell shaped) and the leaves/foliage were long and fine.

Seems a strange thing to say but the whole plant looked kind of 'fluffy' from a distance with the flowers growing towards the middle/base with the long fine green foliage protruding above..???

Please let us know where this was growing. We have no idea of the climate/ growing conditions which will help narrow the search.

Are you certain it has white flowers? Scotch broom has pale yellow,and other colors but I've not seen a white flowered form.

I know exactly the plant the OP is asking about although I don't know the name. I got one in my front lawn from the previous owner and I have always called it "the heather." I don't have a pic of it blooming but it is a cloud of pale pink flowers on the wispy and feathery bush. The bush I have is about 10'ish feet tall and nearly as wide.

Or possibly a Diosma?

That's why it's critical for the poster to mention where the plant is growing. We had no idea if it was a northern climate, Mediterranean, tropical, etc.
