Oyster mushrooms for stump removal

ashleysf

I have close to 12 stumps to remove. They are from 4-8 inches in diameter. They are basically overgrown landscape shrubs that became small trees. I plan to plant the area with edible landscapes in a year's time. I cannot dig out the stumps - I tried and it is too difficult on my back. And we have lawn sprinklers close to them, so grinding may not work. I do not want any chemicals there either. After a lot of research I came upon some information I about inoculating stumps with mushroom spores and letting them decompose the stumps. And that Oyster mushrooms were the fastest acting.

Can anyone with experience please help me with any leads? Thanks.
