Beating the HEAT!!!

westoh Z6

Like most places, temps have been running in the mid-upper 90's highs and upper 70's lows with 70-80 degree dew points (that's a lot of humidity!) here in west central OH for about a week now. We have lot's of heat and humidity but very little rain for the month, crappy combo...

Anything that even remotely needs intermediate/cool temps have been moved either back indoors or in the shade of the overhanging eaves (KMA squirrels :-) ). Everything but a sobralia and a rup. leilia are out of any direct sun. I seem to be watering every 3-4 days as opposed to every 7 and misting mounties 3-4 times a day when possible.

Things are hanging in there, most phals and a few warm growing paphs are doing great but most other things are just holding on for now.

How's everyone else faring through this inferno?

Bob
