The fall leaves here are on their last leg. The Bradfords have their autumn coat on so I know the grand finale to the fireworks show is about to begin. I've been watching the leaves fall in the breeze. I hadn't realized it, but I like to just "watch fall". It's very pleasing to see the leaves gently glide to the ground. Most assuredly we had torrential downpours! I'd gone to lunch with Vicki, when halfway through we noticed the wind was blowing sideways. A few moments later and there was hail. We waited and waited for it to slow down until we finally gave up. It poured on us all the way back. Wet socks, pants, shirts, and hair when I got back. Since I had to attend class last night, I had to tolerate being wet until I arrived home at 9:45PM. On my way back to my car from the library, the wind was blowing so hard it turned my umbrella inside-out and rightside back again three times in succession so quickly, I could do nothing about it. It broke two spokes and bent a third spoke. I'd had it for years it was so well-made... destroyed in seconds. I'd almost dried by then, but ended up soaked once more. I felt like a drowned cat. My mid-morning musin' is that I work with some pretty amazing people. Sure, the physicians are brilliant in every sense of the meaning, but the staff are too. I know a romance novelist (Lynne Hayworth), a great singer (Ondee), the list goes on. To me, they're staff who compiles and sends nominations for awards or just an administrative person. Unless you delve a little deeper. Wonder how many people have two really distinct lives and you just don't know?

Every one of those is a killer! I love the vibrant colors on After the Dawn and As the World Turns. Peppermint Pinwheel is a really attractive bitone, and Claudine's Charm is a favorite in my garden. She was posing very nicely for you! I'm glad you were able to post larger photos this time. Debra

Hey it's nobody's business how many roses we have! Beth, if your neighbors say anything to you personally about it, just tell them "just be glad I'm not growing pot!" LOL I have to put in a notation here of an error! I'm really hating that damn septic system re-do we had to go thru earlier in the yr. I'm finding I'm missing roses, and now apparently have mismarked ones that are similar-ish. LOL This rose I noted as FLAMINGO is in fact not. I just found the real FLAMINGO in a pot with its tag in tact and buried under a bunch of soil. Sooo... from what I can tell, it appears this rose must then be BOWIE PINK LADY, which I have another rose in that bed marked as such, and looking at the few photos I took recently that rose apparently must be the SIGHTSAVER rose I couldn't find! Phew! I feel like I'm playing musical roses here! Now if the handful of unmarked ones would just bloom so I can finish IDing them....
