Your fertilizer will be a matter of personal preference based on where you live, what type of plants you're growing, what type of light they're getting, what type of media they're in, and what kind of pots. That being said, many people, myself included, like the MSU formulations, and what type you choose will depend on what type of water you use, either RO or well water. The MSU formulations are not a brand but a formula developed by the university for either type of water and are carried by many different vendors. There are many other good fertilizers on the market.

For additives you might consider liquid seaweed and epsom salts for magnesium. There are other additives out there you might want to experiment with, as they may or may not do well under your conditions.

For an insecticide I like Bayer Advanced Rose and Flower Spray as it is a systemic good for a multitude of problems.

My shelves are full of products that I have tried over the years, and believe it or not, I may resort to using them, depending on the problem I'm facing at the time.

What you use will depend on your cultural practices. Unfortunately, that's a matter of trial and error. Gradually we all find what works for us, given our own unique conditions.

I can't be without cinnamon, peroxide, alcohol, bleach or Physan and ditto to the Bayer product. I also have the Phyton on hand but have never opened the bottle. I have cured all problems, to date, with the above.
