The Door of the Apostles is on the southern wall of the cathedral. The entrance on the north wall is called the Door of Chains. I cannot, even after lots of online searching, determine why it is named that. At any rate this is the view above the Door of Chains. As you can see, this style is similar to the Door of Apostles. That is another view of the design elements of the Murcia Cathedral. We exited through this door. Yep, the next installment will have you seeing the inside of the cathedral.

After two restful days at sea, we arrive in Cartagena Spain for an 8:00 arrival. Spaindaytours will again provide the tour as we visit Murcia and Cartagena with a full-day tour. This is a view of the city as we tie up to the pier. City hall is the building with the clock. I have not been able to determine what the other buildings are.

When I downloaded all 3600+ photos in December, I went through and kept about 2800. I put captions under each one so that this old man would be able to remember all the whats and whens and wheres. The caption I put for this one, "Cartagena last view." Another wonderful port of call in Spain. So much to see and do and only one day to do it. Since I don't do well with long flights, I will assume that I won't be back to this part of the world. One more port in Spain (Cadiz), but that comes after Gibraltar. We get a bit of a break. We don't arrive in Gibraltar until noon. We have no tour organized, it will be a day of simple exploring. After Gibraltar, we arrive in Casablanca the next day! This traveling the world can be tiring.

This is one of the âÂÂGrotesquesâ that are on the walls in Palacio Gotico. Each one is supposed to represent something, I could not determine what was going on here. What I found interesting is the lack of shoes, yet there are some sort of anklets.
