Success in washing away aphids!

champagne

Just want to share something here. I'd always been dubious about spraying away aphids with plain water, and also dubious about planting flowers as they seemed good at attracting aphids, the last thing I wanted in my vegetable garden. (Never really had them before). Sure enough, one day I found lots of aphids on my newly formed big flowers (don't know what kind, sort of like dahlias).

I really wanted to poison them, thinking surely they would just jump back on if I merely sprayed them off with the garden hose. But I did it anyway, going back the next day to wash off what I missed the day before. I used a gloved hand to scrape them off at the same time I sprayed them.

Well, that did it! They got "tsunamied" off and never came back! Not a one. And that was WEEKS ago.

Just thought I'd share my story. I never believed it would work, but it does!
