This is one that my uncle gave us. He had a job putting records in juke boxes in bars and would give us kids the ones he took out.

I'm laughing at this one. what a great thing for you kids to have..music like this to remember. Now you've got me thinking. I remember an old CW song with the first line being something like...I've got tears in my ears,from lying on my back,in my bed while I cried over you..... I can't remember anything else about it but always loved that first line.

There were some interesting 45's back then, some in interesting colors. We played them on a flip top record player box with one speaker.

Of course my sisters loved all the Elvis records and I had to sit at the drive in movie theater through all of his movies because they begged to see them.
I did like the Patsy Cline records and a lot of the others, I think my brother has some of those 45's packed away in his storage. Will know in about a month as he is moving and all the hidden things will come out.

When Don posted that, I got to surfing to some old country music sites and found a list of those with wild titles. It was on there, and I do remember that song Marda. It was actually a pretty good one. I remember one titled Drop Kick me Jesus over the Goal Post of Life. You gotta love country music. I turned to it when rap hit.

Yep--I remember that from the scene in Jaws when Quint and Brody and Hooper are drinking in the cabin at night just before the shark hits, right?

Back to Tales for a moment--"The Danger Garden" is the funniest drinking story ever, especially if you like wordplay.

Chemocurl, it may look like we have been had by a spammer but I for one never looked at the links provided. I doubt the others have paid a lot of attention to them either since we were having fun reminiscing about our own youthful times. Put your search link on the comments forum and it will be looked at by the moderators, or you can just send an email to the letters and comments link at the bottom of each main page. We usually catch this stuff but were having fun being self centered. ;^)

Yep, go on having fun--its a lot better for you than looking to cause trouble!
