Occasionally a crabapple w/o red or pink in the flower can be found. Crabapple flowers are irresistable to honeybees, my trees are buzzing with them. I would describe the fragrance as 'like crabapple flowers'. My trees still have mummified fruits from last year, however yours may be a sterile selection. Sam

um, I am hopeless at rose id....but this looks awfully like a setigera hybrid (I have Tolstoi and Baltimore Belle) - the balling, the shape of leaves and petals.........although would expect someone to chime in with a more educated guess, especially since the setigeras tend to climb.....a lot.

About 30 years ago a flea market vender had the wrought iron cage specially made for me with a solid roof for Indian fantail pigeons. A place in San Antonio called Las Patios had one similar on their grounds and I fell in love with it. Eventually Bob built a much larger wooden one with a flyway for them. You may see it in some of my garden photos. We raised fan tails for 25 years, but stopped a few years ago. Most of those years they were allowed to fly free, but then unfortunately the hawks moved into the neighborhood and stayed year round. The Indian fantails were very tame and would let you hold them. Now I have plants and nicknacks in the two wrought iron cages and made sort of an art gallery in the bigger wooden aviary. Here's a photo of a couple of pigeons in the wooden aviary ...
