Hope, I didn't meant to alarm you! LOL... It may not be that at all. But I always check my plants when the leaves don't look right...just in case. And since you just brought this baby home, a thorough inspection wouldn't hurt. To check for spider mites, here's a simple, quick method: Place a blank, white piece of paper under a leaf of your plant and shake, shake, shake or tap, tap, tap the selected foliage. Small specks of dust and debris will fall onto the paper. Get up close and personal with the fallen debris on the paper and watch carefully (make sure the lighting is good where you view the sheet). Dust and dirt donÂt move but mites do! If spider mites are present, you will see tiny specks moving across the paper. Check more than one leaf, even healthy ones, to make sure your plant is mite-free. This simple but useful method is a technique that helps detect the presence of mites that canÂt be otherwise seen by the naked eye. You can also check the plantÂs leaves, stems, axils, etc, for fine webbing, which is a sure sign of mite infestation. Again, this is just a precaution! And it's good to rule out any pests for your plant's sake.

I got lucky this time, all fit and some are even keepers. One is deadly poisonous, Black Nightshade, wonder if it repels the squash bugs? LOL! Thanks, now I can quit pestering everyone! I spent this morning weeding, maybe near 2 hours and I found my garden lines again! I'll go back out and get rid of the Burnweed, some of the nightshade or most of them, I can see why they seed so much, the berries. This one is definitely going! It's pretty easy once you know what has to be done... First you have to get the image onto the internet somehow- I have a couple servers so I just put the picture I want to show on one of mine and post the link. You can search for free image host and use one of those.. Or email it to one of us who has a server. (easier for you to find your own "hosting" tho as I'm not always around to post pics for folks) Once you get space on a server somewhere, put your image on it (it's called "uploading") then you can use the "Optional Link URL:" below to post a link to the image, or write some HTML code to make the image pop up here. For example, if I wanted to post first I would upload it, then I would go look at it in my browser, then copy the URL of where it is. THe URL of this example is: http://krstofer.org/plants/passiflorasunburst.jpg (It's what's in the "location" field at the top of your browser) Then if I wanted to make the image appear here I'd type (img src="location of your image ") which in this example would be (img src="http://krstofer.org/plants/passiflorasunburst.jpg") NOTE: You have to change the ( and ) to respectively to make the image appear- I had to use the () to "trick" the forum into showing the code rather than looking for an image somewhere... And when you've done all correctly you should be able to see your image in the "preview" section of your post, and when your done the image should pop up: Just like that.

Hello, You will need to have the photo already online somewhere. If you have a Photoucket account, that will work. It is pretty easy to open an account if you do not have one, and it is free. Upload the picture to Photobucket. You must be logged in to your account, (can't be a guest). In the album containing the picture will be the words in blue "Customize links". Left click on those words, and a menu will pop up that says "My Link Options". If it is not checked, then check the one that says "HTML code for website and blogs. Click "save" at the bottom of this menu. The site should refresh, and beneath your photo should be the words "HTML code", with a small field of letters to it's right. You must select or highlight this code. You will not be able to see it all at once, but only a small part. A double left click works for me. Once you have it selected or highlighted the field (it will have a blue background in the small window), then right click on it. The menu that pops up should have "copy" in it. Click on "copy". You have to "paste" this information in the body of the message that you write on this forum. When you paste it, it will look like some code containing the URL of your Photobucket picture, but when you preview the message, it should show your photo. You can go over to the Test forum, and practice. If you make a mistake, it doesn't matter. In fact, it is probably easier to get help there.
