Spitter and water lily, my life is complete

I finally found a spitter for my formal little water pond that wasn't too big, wasn't too small, wasn't too cutsey and wasn't too expensive. It is a "cast stone" fish, supposedly fashioned after one found at an Italian Villa. So I am happy. And the dh says that he can drill a hole in the cast stone edging so it won't have to sit on 2 bricks.

And to top it off the dd's boyfriend brought me a water lily all potted up in the right kind of pot with the right kind of soil and it is blooming. He and his family were camping and fishing at a state park and.....I am a firm beliver in the don't ask don't tell method. (It is a very common water lily, I know for a fact that at another state park they are always trying to keep in corraled in just one cove) This kid is a keeper and I will bake him what ever he wants. He has a sweet tooth.

I just sit by my little pond and smile. The gold fish seem to like it too.
