Idea to dampen media consistantly

Cena

I don't have the idea, I was hoping someone here could tell me how they prep for a large scale repotting effort to get bark damp?

I have been trying to figure something out. I searched here, but ended up with 41 threads about Damp Medium, which didn't help at all.

I need to move up in pot size about 9 cymbidiums. They are bending the pots.

Even asked my husband how he would submerge a bunch of wood chips in water? Don't have a clue.

I would like to hear more about how you, individually, or collectively dampen medium. Or why you feel it is better to use dry, and how it helps with plant comfort.

I do know that cymbs are semi-terrestrial, or will do well with a terrestrial mix, but I like to dump some bark in there too.

I appreciate any input, or comments.

TIA.
