Haiti Doc! This may very well be true, but my second bulb of Night Star has bloomed. It is from a completely different source and is almost identical to my other picture. I have seen this many times before, especially with the pink/white varieties such as Apple Blossom. The depth of the color changes with the amount of light. I sometimes wonder if temperature has anything to do with it or the number of hours in a day, but based on observation, I am leaning toward the amount of light. It would be interesting to study this, but unfortunately, I don't have the time to experiment. Anyway, I adore the frilly white with the dark pink star, so I'm more than satisfied with what I have.... I'll post a pic later of the blooms on the second bulb when I get a chance. Thanks all! I let little man read all your comments this morning. He was blushing and saying to himself, "I didn't cook this all by myself and I am not that good looking..." but I saw the sparks in his eyes and knew he secretly enjoyed the nice compliments. LOL I want to take advantage of his new found interest and run with it. We have decided that he would continue to make breakfast for his dad when he feels like it then dinner once a week, mostly Sunday. If he's up to it, maybe one easy dessert during the week. I got hubby hooked on bread making and now little man cooking, think I am ready to retire! LOL Pat, I guess the Xpress is sort of like a grill with much less capacity. We like it because it's small and very portable, just about the right size for a 7-year-old to handle. Karen, thanks for the link again. We have it bookmarked and have been checking it from time to time. We haven't tried out any of their recipes yet but I am sure we soon will. Rusty, I believe you're right about soda crackers = saltine crackers. Here in Canada (at least the part where we live) soda cracker is an ethnic food that has a different look and taste. They are bigger, fluffier and have no salt on the surface. The recipe definitely calls for saltine crackers because when little man finished crushing the crumbs, it turned out just the right amount. If we had used the "soda crackers" found in the Asian store, we would end up having way too much crumbs. Chase, I noticed the difference too! LOL Thanks again everyone. I think the best way to figure out what they are is to observe them a little. If they seem to be around constantly and hovering around the soil and base of your plant then they are fungus gnats. If they are only around in large swarms occasionally (usually after a rain storm and it warms up) then they are most likely ants. If they don't fit either of those descriptions then they are probably small wasps. Best case scenario is that they are wasps which are usually not harmful but good for your garden and you should leave them alone. Ants and gnats can be a minor irritation or a big problem, it just depends really because in some situations they can kill your plants but if your plant is of a good size and healthy then I wouldn't worry too much.

The main reason I think Disney is partially at fault (morally, not a lawyer familiar with Florida law so won't pretend to be a legal expert) is that they landscaped the area. They brought in pretty beach chairs, put in some beach sand. If they had left that area in a "natural" state then I wouldn't fault them at all. But they created this peaceful area that just invites people right up to the water's edge. Whether that little boy had his feet in the water or not, even just being right up to the water's edge would still be too close if you know alligators are in that water. I'm not from Florida. I certainly know there are alligators in fresh water all over Florida. But I have to agree that I could see myself, as a tourist, at Disney, walking right up to that water's edge myself. Disney practically invites you up to the water's edge with the way they've created that area. I too will think they'll settle this quietly out of court. We'll never hear another word about it once this initial furor dies down.
