I will have coreopsis tinctora radiata mix (yellow and burgandy) but they are just starting to flower for me, so it will be awhile till I have seeds. I'd love to have some forget-me-nots for a shade bed I'm putting in next Spring. Should I email you when my trade is ready?

Luv daises: This is a plant from Mexican Hat Nursery in Riverside. They don't do mail order and since this plant is unnamed like many of the hybrids there, it would be kind of hard to get it unless you were lucky enough to be there when it was blooming. April would be a good time to go. No offsets yet, but I'll jot down your name if you want--it could take a while to get you a decent sized offset. Aztcqn: I thought you were getting a lot of flowers in the Spring, isn't it natural for the blooming to slow up? Mine are just now starting to bloom. Another thing: Norma that used to post here worked at Huntington. She said that to keep the plants blooming, you have to cut the flowers off soon after they bloom so you may want to try that. That does seem to be a very nice and unusual find. I believe those small yellow "petals" are common on most (all?) ratibida columnifera, just rarely that big and never open all at once (that I've seen, anyway). More common to see them open as a ring that moves from bottom to top of the cone.... linked some photos below that show this. Looks unique enough to work as named cultivar if someone could figure out how to legally tame it into a reliable performer. Thanks for sharing your find.
