Whitecat8 Ive been growing in terrariums 7-8 yrs. now and I have them closed off to air. The only new air they get is when I open them to check a plant or to water. Watering is needed usually every 2-3 months this way. A couple I have going need a bit of water only once a year. My orchids and Hoya's I grow this way love it. I have 18 terrariums going at this time. The teardrop ornaments have a 2 inch round opening so unless the opening is covered with saran wrap it would have air flow. Ive eyed the Den. toressae several times and its def. on my "gotta have cause I can't live without" list! There's a few others on my list of course and as soon as Oklahoma sees Spring I'll be getting a nice order out to Andy. I mainly grow mini and micro mini orchids. I met Andy at an orchid show in TX. and he is a very nice guy and full of info! It was nice to hand pick my orchids and see some he had just got in and hadn't put on his site yet.,,,,Debbie

Hi everyone - I was at the CT show today dropping off Hort exhibits & setting up a booth. For the first time, the New England Carnivorous Plant Society will have booths at both RI & CT shows on the same weekend. Dena and I will be manning the CT booth most of the time, so please stop by and say hi. It's near the red barn shaped building toward the concessions. I checked to see who was directly behind our booth, it's Broken Arrow. I also saw a sign for Young's Nurseries. Is Ron still affiliated with them? Bill

The Olive Garden was great! And I didn't even have to pay for it, which somehow made it even better! LOL! My roommate treated me to lunch/dinner, but I paid for the bottle of wine I wound up bringing home. It was totally cool, I had myself a small wine-tasting event before the salads came around, which was very cool! And, want to know what makes today even better? I did some winter-sowing, oh yeah! I used 3 72-cell miniature greenhouses, and now they're outside waiting on warm weather so they can start sprouting. I did a tray of painted and african daisies, a tray of tomatoes, and a mixed tray of hollyhocks, devil's claw, roses, rhubarb, and something I keep forgetting! Bump pretty much stayed away once he realized what I was doing, but Stella "helped" the whole time, giving me opinions, telling me which seeds to plant next, and splattering me with water. Yep, she's a gardener! And, speaking of Bingo cards, mine isn't broken, but it looks like it's stuck in first gear with only the one number being on it. Who's ready for another number??? Peace. -Dan
