#1 looks like stinging nettle, thus the bumps!

Thank you Redneck_Grower for your help. I do believe that Stinging Nettle would be correct. Thank You Thank YOU! Darn little herb sure itched like all heck. ;)

Stinging nettle is really nutritious in a tea once it's dried. Must be harvested before or just as the blooms appear. Wear gloves when handling, all sting disappears after it's dried.

2. Yep, rhubbarb

3. The big one looks like broadleaf dock. The smaller is possibly black-eyed susan.

4. spirea, possibly "magic carpet"

Number 5 could be a sqill of some sort.

Broadleaf dock: Very interesting because the leaves from the dock plant are supposedly known for their ability to relieve the pain from the stings of common nettles Urtica dioica. How ironic is that!?

I'll have to keep my eye on the smaller one. :) I'll also have to just keep my eye on number 4 as well and see what happens with it.

I initially thought that perhaps it was Siberian Squill but wanted to find out from more experienced flower folks what they thought. Thanks for your response. :)

About as ironic as the jewelweed growing near my poison ivy :) Nature often puts the antidotes nearby.

The herbalist I studies under puts nettles in almost all her tea blends. It's good for whatever ails you, wish I had it in my garden!

In the last picture the little blue ones are Siberian Squill, the big flowers look to me like hyacinths. They come up with a looser flower cluster after the first year, in my experience. But they should still smell nice.

The smaller plant in picture #3 looks a lot like Dames Rocket, Hesperis matronalis. If it is it should send up a flower stalk very soon.

Good point about nature providing the antidotes. I guess it wouldn't have surprised me as much if the Broadleaf Dock and Stinging Nettle weren't growing inside of the raspberry bush areas. I guess it just seems very coincidental that they both ended up in an area that was cleared and has raspberries growing. Although the raspberries were not kept cleaned up at least for a year before we moved in.

I could share some Stinging Nettle seeds with you once they go to seeds - if you would like. I've never done that before but I'm willing to try. :)

Thanks for your take on number 3. I'm excited to see what it'll come up as. That's one of the perks of purchasing a home in the late fall/early winter - you never know what will pop up in spring. Again, thanks for the Dames Rocket tip - I'll be sure to keep an eye on it.

Nice username! Thanks for the third confirmation that I probably have Siberian Squills. And hyacinth ... yes now that you said that I would have to agree. I guess I was expecting hyacinths to look a little different. But it could be because they are not first years. I'll have to get close and give them a nice sniff. I don't believe I have ever smelled hyacinths.
