My little girl :) Bless her heart, she didn't think she was miserable enough Friday to be in "real" labor, and arrived at the hospital at 11 p.m., already at 8cm. She said she only went because she was hoping they could do something to ease up the back labor. FAR tougher than she looks.

Each portrait you've shown is very very special! I think I like uncle Phil's best! Babies put the rest of life in perspective.
Guess it will be a while before he goes jumping with ya!

Delosperma cuttings are very easy. Chop and stick in soil, keep moist and they'll root quickly. You can also grow from seed, the small grey-brown capsules at the end of dead flower stalks contain hundreds of seeds and they will flower about six months after planting. There is a popular Delosperma cultivar called Starburst which might be yours. There are some other cultivars with star in the name but less well known and less like your description. There are also a large number of similar plants in the same family as Delospermas, few are hardy even on the Maryland coast, some are annuals. Many are called iceplants and have larger flowers than Delospermas. Delospermas are perennials and fairly hardy. They are also tolerant of winter wet and do best with regular watering in summer.

Here's one for a spinach pie! Can't see how crust would work with the squares. This one looks easy enough! SPINACH PIE 1 (10 oz.) frozen pie crust 1 (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach 1 egg 1 (8 oz.) Mozzarella 4 oz. ricotta 4 oz. feta (optional) 1 sm. chopped onion Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Brown pie crust for about 5 to 10 minutes. Squeeze the excess water out of the defrosted chopped spinach until dry. Mix all the ingredients above and pour them into pie crust and cook for about 35-45 minutes until golden brown on top. You can use more or less of the cheese depending on how cheesy you like it.

Oh that's a beautiful specimen. Reading about it, I'm sure I'd be glad to have a couple of those. I love the fact that it is fragrant. It has so many qualities and in looking at yours Natal it appears very hardy. How large was yours when you purchased it? I'm assuming you purchased it locally. What about you Wodka, same questions. Nice to know it grows from a cutting also. One of the things I want to do is plant fragrant vines and plants by the doors as I love that when I'm entering and exiting. Right now I have to walk around my neighborhood smelling all the neighbor's fragrant flowers. LOL Thanks for the information and photo's.

plllog -- yep, reset the bookmark, and it seems to be working. In the olden days, you know, last week, I only signed in when I wanted to post (laughable, I know, like I'm actually privatizing my forum trail and someone cares) and I could just use That Home Site Forums - Gardenweb menu to look at Kitchens, Cooking, etc. If I want my topics now, I have to sign in; otherwise, I'm sent to the Garden Forum. It makes sense signing-in, I get it, but I just need to grumble a bit. And I'll whisper: this change and not knowing what the end of net neutrality is actually going to mean, makes me want to grumble, grumble, grumble a bit more:) On a positive note: I thought I was too old to learn new tricks; yet, a new talent that I've acquired is filtering out the peripheral, intrusive, embedded nonsense on the sides, top and bottom of my screen/phone. What a wonderful bunch of pictures. Everyone looks so happy. Jude is beautiful - I especially like the 2nd shot. He looks so "new" Enjoy him.

Thanks everyone! It's interesting that a random group of women chatting about gardening just happen to have the most beautiful and brilliant children and grandchildren in the world ;) We're pretty lucky, I'd say!
I especially love to see Jim and Phil holding him. They both act like tough guys, then melt as soon as they touch him.
It'll be 18 years and a couple of months before he can do his first tandem. Now, Cindy! Don't blame Chelone-the thought has already crossed my mind. Time will tell, I commit to nothing :D
Gosh, Marian, I can't even compare the two. Skydiving is a full-on lose your mind thrill that lasts a few minutes. Jude's arrival is an awe-filled wonder that hasn't worn off yet, and I don't imagine it will. No choice at all if I had to pick one, but I'm glad I don't have to ;)
I've been kind of hanging back this week. Daddy has a week off work, so it's nice for the little family to have some quiet time together, and for Miciah's family to be able to come visit while he's home to show off his son. Next week will probably be a different story.
Chelone, I'll be sure and document in pictures the growth of his hair and fingernails, lint-balls between his toes...all the important milestones, lol!
