Mystery vine - no photo, description only

The vine is growing in a container in a local business. I think it may be Pandorea jasminoides but there are no flowers. The owners stated it produced tiny purple flowers only once in the 13 years they have had it.

Leaves appear opposite and pinnate with three to five leaflets. Leaves are very shiny. All stems are green.

the plant must have suffered from cold or poor watering conditions as most of the leaves fell off and it's now producing more.

Can you think of another vine that might fit this description?

With a proper ID they can possibly give the plant what it needs to flower. I think it's not getting enough light.

Will try to take a photo when I'm in that area again.

thank you

Carol
