the mystery is solved

I got up late last night and there in front of my computer was the little guy who turns the light on and off in the fridge. He said that living in the dark most of the time his eyesight was going. When he gets out to check his e-mails (I wondered who some of those weird messages were for) it was necessary to increase the type size and topic spacing. So now while the rest of you get on with your humadiddle lives I will continue to seek adventure by going where no man has gone before. on this forum. Steve S.

Well that's a cool way to find that long lost pear. Winter Nellis is sometimes used as rootstock. In the growers nursery row, the Seckle bud didn't take, so they let the Winter Nellis rootstock be harvested.

G'Day! You mean the stuff that looked a bit like nandina but with thick, fleshy stems like pokeweed? Eeeek! i believe it was from DawnStorm. Invasive as in "good for very bad soil areas, such as between pasture and road," or invasive as in "Like gooseneck loosestrife (who did the cute typo last year, "looseneck goosestrife"?), this is to be irradicated wherever it is seen before it totally swamps all our native spiecies"? i must confess, mine isn't in the ground yet. Is it safe to keep as a container plant? (The cold, wet weather has been dancing on my arthritis, so there are still a dozen (out of near to a thousand, if one counts every little seedling) swap plants i have to plant. I have (had) some Tahini Paste (sesame seed paste) in my pantry. I actually made so Hummus and it was really good. Here's the recipe: 1 can (15ozs) chickpeas 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice 1/2 cup tahini 1/4 cup chopped yellow onion 3 cloves garlic, chopped 2 tsp extra-virgin olive oil 2 tsp ground cumin 1/8 tsp ground red pepper 1/2 tsp salt Chopped fresh parsley Drain the chickpeas, reserving 1/4 -1/2 cup of the liquid Combine the chickpeas, lemon juice, tahini, onion, garlic, oil, cumin, parsley, pepper and salt in a blender or food processor. Puree until smooth, adding the chickpea liquid if needed to thin the puree. Refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours before serving to blend the flavors. Serve with veggies. Linda

Steve---there is some old biddie who's been bunking in with me at times---she hides my glasses and worst of all, my hot cups of coffee---and doesn't put them back in plain view 'til they're cold....

If you can send your little guy to help me figure it out, I'd be grateful!

Here is a nice small application to help find the little buggars and read the fine print. It is open source so free and will not hurt your computer. I have it on all the computers here and use it all the time. This way we can see more of you and your posts.

Steve, I thought you were referring just to the GP about the type change. Heck, over a year ago, I enlarged the type size and switched to a simpler, darker font for my emails. It sure helps. Now, however, I'm finding that the type on almost every product is getting too small to read with my not very old but very expensive RX glasses. Since I wear tri-focals, anyway, it's a real pain. Next, I guess, is the magnifier hanging on a chain around my neck! :>(

Some time ago I had trouble seeing the print on some of the pages and I increased the font size on my laptop. Lol, the gremlins not only changed the font size on my computer, but the email fonts are huge and the print size must be at least +3. Glad to see that you figured yours out, I'm working on mine.
