Hi all, I have a little 10 hp Briggs and stratton on my newly acquired (used) Murray mower, Motor had been sitting for about a year, and all the seals/gaskets were shot! I replaced all seals, rebuilt carb, new filter, cleaned the spark plug, new fuel lines and air filter, this is a "flat head" not OHV, clearances were good when I was in the motor, put everything back together and she fires right up aside from the fact that its surging both at low and high throttle, and is backfiring badly when shut off, the nicki carb only has one fuel/air adjustment screw which basically does nothing in the way of adjustment. my fuel cap does not have a hole therefore is restricted, wondering could governor adjustment help + new plug, I am running out of patience, those are the only 2 things i haven't done, could it be anything else.
