Does organic granular fertilizer expire or go bad?

BlueWrapper

I picked up an extra bag of Texas Tee two months ago because I found a good deal on it. I've had it sitting in my hot garage since.

Today was my day to fertilize and when I opened the bag the outer layers were kind of clumpy and had some blueish gray mold on it. Inner part of the bag looked fine. I just broke the clumps and went ahead and spread on my lawn.

I didn't think much of it, but now I'm slightly worried maybe it was bad. I can't imagine in only two month it would cause a problem.

But I'm a bit worried it might do something to my lawn now.

Any of you lawn experts have any info, or expect I may run into some problems?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Oh and yes, I realize I broke a big rule, ask here before action.
