I hope this doesn't bore anyone but I wanted to share with everyone the wonderful booth I got last weekend at a Christmas Fair. I was able to display my plate flowers right in a flower bed. It was a great hit with everyone and I sold all but 4 of my things. Being able to show different ways to use a totem or flower seems to interest people. I had a few on a trellis stand, in a flower pot, on the table with a plate holder and in the dirt. The weather warmed up around 11 to an unbelievable 70 and the sunshine was dazzling on the glass.

Looks like you had a great spot also! Glad you did well! We haven't had very nice weather lately & misty or rainy, mostly just enough to mess up my car & keep people from having yard sales. You can put the other 4 things in your garden & enjoy all your hard work! Jan

We're up to 3 stop lights. :) Garden wise we're still digging out from the snow. We had a St Paddy's day gathering and still had six inches of snow in the field. Next weekend will be my first chance to clean up some fallen trees, fix the fence and trim up broken branches on some of the Japanese maples. I'm looking forward to this season of gardening.

Vapor that is surprising that she isn't more popular, I haven't found anything I don't love about this rose! Blooms the size of my hand, lovely dark green foliage with no diseases even in a pretty humid summer (it has been 70--90% here lately) a nice tidy shape, and fragrance that makes me say 'now that is what a rose should smell like!'. Cold hardy to --30F and blooming in 90F summer temps. And she wasn't touched by whatever wretched bug ate my Anna's Promise band down to nothing too.

Wow, that’s truly a labor of love! A huge Victorian indeed. Thanks for the info. :-) Most of Victorian houses I have seen around here (up north) are much smaller than yours, unless they have additions to the original buildings, and in most cases they don’t have 2nd stairways inside. I‘m always interested to learn more about historical houses. Does yours have a basement down south? I hope your friend kept the 6 full baths from the 6 units at least. 6 baths would be awesome. And if each bedroom has its own bath would be even better. :-)

Shrouded in fog: Volunteer trash tree--a box elder which reminds me of the apple-throwing trees in the Wizard of OZ: The base of the tall 'mushroom' in the middle is a box elder stump. You can see the roots which had spread in search of water. The tiny concrete mushroom in the lower right was a gift from my late sister: Grandson's portal to ... somewhere. Really an old wagon wheel missing its spokes, guarded by friendly gnomes. The box elder on the right and the wild cherry on the left came up between tumbled blocks so I left them for shade: I left a small mound of dirt and a piece of the old stump: The back side of the stump. I'd love to plant hostas here, but I know it would be an invitation to the deer--I'll have to settle for heuchera, Canadian ginger, and violets: The bird houses belonged to my late mother. When her house was sold, I brought them to my block garden, where they look as if they are climbing the tulip tree. Fire circle--under the firewood is the stump of a wild cherry tree. Twigs I picked up this spring, awaiting a trip to the burn pile on the other side of the creek: An old bird nest, with pebble eggs: A cow bone rodents have been gnawing for calcium: A row of stones which remind me of potatoes: Concrete mushroom top--bottom of a piece of concrete which was poured over large gravel and rocks: Photobombed by my cat, Gargoyle: Yes, I am Queen of this domain: More stumps with concrete mushroom tops: Some of the blocks were still held together by mortar and were really heavy. I was very surprised how many people told me they had never seen these totems or glass flowers before. I really thought there were a lot of people making them. Another item people asked about were bird feeders. Have any of you made bird feeders from glass? I made one using a blue wine bottle as the base so it went on a pole. We have acquired a lot of the blue bottles and I'm trying to think of how to use them.

Wow!! The Bottle Man is fantastic. His bottle trees are unbelievable. If only there was some other metal to use that didn't have to be welded. I don't think my hubby or I would want to buy that equipment at this stage in our lifes. I would love to find a way to make a bottle tree, I'm sure I'll come up with an idea. flowers...type 'bottle tree' or 'blue bottles' in 'search box' ...there are some ideas for trees where you don't have to weld .... here's how I used a few on a fence by my garden shed & potting table:

Your flowers and totems are darling!

@toomuchglass: I am now inspired to cut down one of the evil cedar trees in my back two acres! I have a cut off oak tree stump I've been using for what few blue bottles I have, but it keeps growing!

Jeannespines, thank you so much for the link for bottle trees. They are awesome. I'm going to give it some real thought and effort so I can use up all my blue bottles. I'm slowly working at clearing out all the dead flowers from the summer garden. A bottle tree for the winter months will really brighten up the garden along with my pf and totems.
