Best Rear Drive Self Propelled Mower
Comments (9)try a commercial snapper with a kawasaki engine. heavy mowers but built to last and the drive sytem is very serviceable should something happen to it. many of the lawnboy/toros and other cheap mower have too much plastic in the drive train. they are designed to be replaced in a short time as we have become a disposable nation. that has caused us to think gee why but a $700-1000 mower when i can get 3 or 3 $200-300 mowers. surely 3 cheapies will outlast one good one and i can eat out more on what i save. buy a good one and it will last 25 or more years instead of buying 10 cheapies in that same timeframe. think about it 10 cheapies now $200/300 = $2000/3000 and in 10 years they will be $400/500. invest in a good mower and it will pay back....See MoreTroy-bilt walk-behind, self-propelled, lawn mower:
Comments (6)Baymee: No, i didn't say, but i really didn't think the spark would be missing. After replacing the key, and checking everything else, maybe i got in too big a hurry to get it running again, so i'll have to check that. But, since i reset the flywheel with a new key and checked the flywheel gap at the coil, tell me what should i do next? Could it have twisted the flywheel/crankshaft relationship? The mower was running at operating speed when the man hit the pipe! And, the key sheared immediately! I know, that when a running engine gets stopped very quickly, that the forces inherent with the inner workings do get damaged, some severely! The flywheel nut seemed to be tight to the correct torque. It took my good half-inch torque wrench to loosen the nut. and also to retighten it. So, Monday morning, i'm going to reinspect the fly key, to make sure it is still ok. I'll let ya know what goes with it, and the fix, if it does fix it! Thanks: Rusty J. A quick thought: Maybe the shop sold me the wrong type of fly key. I'll have to check that, too!...See MoreFixing a 1994 MTD Self Propelled Walk Behind Mower
Comments (1)Yes, the wavy washers go above the blade hub. I've not seen a pulley half break. Splined shaft? Post the model #. Your breakdown may actually show 2 different hub styles if you dig deeper....See MoreWide walk behind or 21' self propelled?
Comments (1)That Exmark will take some getting used to, get the safety switches hooked up properly before you use it. It is a great machine in experienced hands but will be a mittfull for an inexperienced operator. Once you get used to it you will be amazed at how much you can do....See Moreshaggnasty
