Small perfume bottles

I found a box of small perfume bottles. I was thinking bottle bugs, but I'm open to any suggestions! Most of them are only 3"-4", but are in interesting shapes. Thanks!

Mini bottle tree. Pound some nails into a small board or spindle. Attach it to the top of a bigger post. Or just do the very top of a big post.

Someone posted a pic of a mini bottle tree a few years ago, it was really nice. They had a bunch of wire cut and bundled together on the bottom then made the loose ends like tree branches and stuck the bottles on the ends of the branches. Don't remember for sure but they may have incorporated some colored beads into it. They had it in a window. Almost like a mini bottle tree bonsai. ( I've been playing with an old wire whisk with the wires cut, would work for the tree too)

Thinking of the wire whisk you could spread the wires out (or really use anything else) hang the gottles and make a wind chime.

They would make nice bugs though wouldn't they, perfume bottle ought to have lots of personality.

Mitchdesj, I have to disagree, most perfumes I have ever bought are bad after a year, and these little sample bottles were not quite a year old, they were a sample give-away last summer. And the seller refused to refund, but eBay found in my favor and refunded the entire price, I unfortunately left positive feedback too soon before I got to smell it! Doh.

I have successfully removed stubborn smells from jars by filling them with a solution of acetic acid (strong white vinegar) and hot water and letting them stand until the water has cooled. I haven't tried it on perfume smells, but it's worth a shot. You may need to repeat the treatment a couple of times before the smell is completely gone.

Great idea for the mini bottle tree using a whisk! I think there are at least 15 or so in the box, some 2"-3" that would work on a "bonsai" bottle tree or even a wind chime.
The larger ones would probably be better suited for b-bugs.

Just today I saw salt & pepper shakers with green floral wire coming up out of the holes. (you could use a cork with a hole in the middle of it) She made flowers out of bright colored buttons. (on the ends of the wire after she put the wire up threw the holes & screwed the caps back on) They looked like small bouquets of flowers. She just ran the wire up threw the button holes on one side, added 2 or 3 buttons stacked on top of each other & then ran the wire back down threw another hole & twisted the wire underneath to hold them in place.They were so cute.

Oh I like that idea Light Lady! You could make the flowers or whatever out of poly clay as well! Great inspiration.
I do love little bottles, can't wait to see what you do.
Gardentogarden, be sure to post pics of that whisk idea.
