Wow! what a fantastic home you have, with interesting bits and pieces everywhere.
I especially love the boots. Is that some kind of succulent that you have planted in them?
Everything looks so healthy and happy and I am in awe.

Hi Beth--Australia? Wow! Yes, about the boots. Last Fall I tucked them in a corner, covered with leaves and they even came thru the Winter. I guess I don't know about multiple pics to a post- I just followed Craftylady's advice re: photobucket and posting pics. Thanks again!

Hey Moonie..Very nice Shrimp blooms. Because of all the stems, it's hard telling which is the Shrimp leaves..lol. But the flowers are very pretty. One thing I learned about Shrimp plants..they need to be pinched periodically to keep compact. Pinch first two leaves when not flowering. You can either cut back and root cuttings. Another option is looking on Ebay for small trellises. They're inexpensive. As a matter of fact, you can make your own. I bought a dozen; after seeing how they were made, felt ripped off. They used a piece of plastic, shaped in a 'U' Imagine the U upsidedown. A wire hanger would work. Same thing, only painted green. Or you can purchase actuall trellises for house plants. They too come in different sizes. If you decide to root, take several cuttings..plant some with mom, in soil, and others in water. Within a two-week period, the cuttings should start rooting. nmgirl, Your millstones are really, really very nice! Thank you so much for posting your photo's with all this great information for everyone! My DH and I made 2 large spheres this past week, and still working on the stands. Was pondering on making another and one of these stone would look great with a sphere in the middle! Also have checked the prices out on the web for these and know that this would be the answer to 'make one', (can't imaging what the shipping would be either lol); I also like to do 'crete-art' and like the above poster said concrete work can be/is lots of blood sweat and tears...but fun! You really should post this on the Hypertufa Form, junk?? I don't think so...don't take this the wrong way fellow junkers I love this form, you are such happy people and I've required lots of great junk also! Have a good one Wendy

Lol, I bought a shrub like that. All it was was a stick with nothing but a little bushy side branch. I can't figure how that will ever grow into a shrub. I am letting it grow and will try to root the one little bushy branch later to be the main shrub. Its pitifully ugly. Lucy you know we are having a cold front Wednesday I hope. High in the 40's. Hope we don't end up with a sneaky freeze.

Not meaning to lecture (& probably failing miserably) but you really should keep your cats indoors. They will live longer, healthier & happier-in-the-long-run lives. They are not wild creatures anymore (even with their killer tendencies) & cannot take care of themselves. If you NEVER let them out (& for heaven's sake, don't take them out to enjoy the outdoors), they will never know what they are missing. I know you mean well & think you are giving them a treat, but it could mean possible death if they run out at a bad time (they can be very sneaky) & can't be caught. If they get out & then change their mind, a scared cat will hide & you might walk right past searching & calling & not find him. They can also get beat up by other cats or dogs (your cat is in their territory now & they want him gone), get fleas, worms or diseases from where other cats have toileted, hit by cars (a sport for some sickos), shot by guns or arrows, poisoned, stolen to be sold to a lab (yes, they still do this) or to train fighting dogs (!). And your nice, sweet, friendly pet is easy for someone to catch & torture. I've seen way too much of it. Even if you just mean to take them out for a few minutes, sh*t happens. Please just give them a nice, long life indoors, they will be much better off & you will know where they are. Linda

I love the ones I can see. If you post more than about 3 some of our older computers will now fully down load..end up with about 1/5 of top of the pics. Someone could tell you how to post them as thumbnails and we could double click to open a bigger one...but I am not up on the how tos and can not do that myself.

Wow! I LOVE YOUR PICTURES! Do you spend hours and hours in your yard? I would! I would be out there all of the time, enjoying the beauty of everything you've done!!!! I too love that screen door! Your garden door is amazing, I just love that!!! You certainly have the knack for planting beautiful flowers in beautiful ways, love the boots, the barrels, the flower beds, all of it. What a lovely view to come home to. Congratulations on having done such a great job in your gardens.

I love your yard! I'm especially intrigued with your use of the two screen doors! I have an old, very narrow and interesting door from a train tower that I haven't been able to figure out how to display. You've got me thinking. Thanks for posting your photos!

Well Debby-- would you believe those are tomatoes? We got the idea from a fella that calls them Norwegian Tomatoes. First time we tried them and probably the last as we have yet to get a tomato. Oh well, it was fun anyway!
