We have owned our 1970 Gilson since 1980 when we bought it from another family member. It is still running strong. It has just over 1000 hours on the second engine (16 HP Briggs cast-iron one upright cylinder engine). I know the hours because I installed an hour meter when I put the new engine in. The previous owners ran the engine with no air filter and few oil changes. The engine still operates as new due to frequent oil changes, careful air filter maintenance, and an after-market oil filter. I use Mobil synthetic oil. The tractor operates great and mows well. It is my wife's favorite machine. In fairness, it has had a lot of maintenance over the years and our Kubota does more mowing with more reliability. We've repainted the Gilson, upgraded the mowing deck bearings, welded frame cracks one time, replaced steering parts, etc. It is a fun machine to drive.

Tally Sue, The fun of going to Build a bear is not just picking out a flat lifeless body of a pet and filling it with a heart, a voice and spongy guts. It's wondering through the cornucopia of outfits, wigs, glasses, Hawaiian grass skirts, belts, shoes, stockings and accessories. Kids LOVE that part. My girls would rather have the fun of wondering around the store to find that just perfect outfit any day. Having someone else pick it out is a nice gesture but it takes all the fun of looking at all the cute little outfits that children relate too. I'll admit it, I like to wonder around the store looking at the cute little outfits, and the wigs, and the shoes. lol, its the kid in me.

Allie, your kitchen is beautiful. I do like the accessories, colorful and fun. Can't wait to see it finished! But, I do not like the painting. I like the theme, but the colors are too harsh and the frame is too formal. The scale of the art is good, but maybe take a look at other kinds of artwork. Maybe a painted panel that incorporates the arabesques of your pendants (which I love, btw!). Or, maybe just art with softer, more muted tones. Or, maybe a small hand-painted buffet table and hang art above that. And, don't limit buying art from HomeGoods. A local artist's guild, a craft fair, etc. Either way, it will be beautiful.
