People on the soil/compost/mulch forum use them to make compost bins. 5 pallets would make 2 three-sided bins. You just wire them together or use those plastic strap ties. It is not decorative in the garden junk sense, but very utilitarian. I suppose you could paint each slat a different color if you wanted to jazz it up a bit.

I have seen benches made out of them. Also I think someone made a fence out of pallets.

I still have all the pallets I collected,never did a thing with them!

Thank you. I like the fence idea the best. Just might have to do that. Have a good spot for it too. Just needs to cool down some first.

There was a thread about lath houses on here and I was wondering if making one from pallets would work....if not the pallets themselves, but takling them apart to use the wood. My husband takes apart pallets all the time and uses the wood for small projects around the house. He's made shelves for his shop and other odds and ends.

They make great decks or walk ways through gardens.. either leave them as is, or fill in the "missing" boards with the right size wood slats and make your own boardwalk or square deck area.

I don't recomment taking them apart, as they can kill you trying to sepaprate the pieces!!
