Give your 10323 longer legs

This may be old news, but it is something I just did and like.

I replaced the gears on my 10323 with gears from a 10550 and it runs a lot faster. The pinion gear is the same, so that one you leave alone. The spur gear and the other one which I call the slave gear get replaced.

The part numbers are: 104-1004 and 104-1005. Just be careful to put the thrust washers back against the spur gear (104-1005) or it won't mesh very well. In my case I only needed to use one washer, but you use what is best for you.

That and a click or two on the govenor wheel and I'm thinking I'm behind a 3-speed in high gear.
