Lucky girl, I love it. Don't pick up the bag of cement, get a metal pot or large metal scoop and do it that way, after you have about half of the cement out of the bag then you lift the bag. Take care of that back it's the only one you have. BTW, how many stones can you get out of a bag of cement?

When it gets better just use a large scoop to get the mix out.

I know what it's like to mess up a body part..
I was helping to stretch wire fence this weekend...and popped something in my arm...I think I tore my biceps on my right arm...I have an 11 o'clock apt. to see the doc.

Nana, sorry about your back-Hope it is better soon. But what a wonderful gift! I have one too, but I have never used it by myself. Maybe when the weather gets little cooler, I will.

Pattico, I hope it is nothing serious with your arm.
I moved a chair while Bill was sick, and pulled something
in my upper left arm. It didn't really bother me at first.
But, under the circumstances, I did'nt go to the Dr. or the chiropractor until I had tendenitis and, altho I have been going regularly since Bill died, it is taking a LONG time for it to heal. I am glad you have an appt with the Dr. All my Dr did was give me muscle relaxers, which upset my stomach. The chiropracter has helped a LOT! He has kept me going, and doing things.

That walk is going to look fabulous when it's done! I'm sorry about your back. Give it all the time it needs to heal again. Don't rush it. Question about the mold you're using: Do you like it, and is it easy to use? That will hopefully be our big project next year, since we have no path leading to the front door.

WOw what a great gift!!! Sorry about your back that is so terrible. I hope it heals fast. I hurt my upper back last October mowing the grass. The axle broke on the lawnmower and jerked me forward somehow and pulled something. It still bothers me. It Is a major grrr. I love that mold you are using to make the cobblestone walkway. That will be beautiful!!!!

It sure has been a great gift and I am a lucky gal to have him in my life! Everyone's concern about my back is touching. I forget that I'm not the young chick I once was, and need to ask for help sometimes. It's not an easy thing to do when one has had to depend on oneself for 24 years.

Katladie, one 80 pd. bag will fill 2 molds if you take care not to fill them very full.

pattico, I have seen the leaf birdbaths and would love to give it a try but not sure how to do that.

coutrygrl, I absolutly love it, it is 'Walk Maker' and at Lowes for about 16.00 each. Once you fill it will concrete smooth it level on top then just pull the mold off, if your edges are rough smooth them out and that is it you can continue to pour another mold right beside that one and it never interferes with the previous one.

We have started digging for a goldfish pond and with beautiful stones around it, was gonna run us about 800.00 in stone, think I will really get use out of the cement mixer for that project.

That tool/toy is too pretty to use. It definately will make a pretty plant stand when not in use
