Common Invading My Tifway!

This past summer I sodded my rear yard (6000 sf) with Tifway 419 bermuda. Getting it looking good has become a hobby/adventure.

I have fought off the poa annua (thank you NC heat of the past week!) and have the yellow nutsedge under control (thank you Manage). Grass looks pretty darn good.

I'm mowing 2x a week (usually) and have the cutting height at 1.2". (As low as I can go with the rotary mower. A reel mower is on my wish list.)

Recently common bermuda has begun to blow in from neighboring properties and spread like wildfire through the Tif. The wide blades and the all-around appearance difference from the Tif is driving me nuts.

Any solutions? Will cutting at say 0.9" stop the common? Is this a nuclear option moment (read: Round Up?)

Thanks for any help.
