species suceptibility to aphids and spider mites

My only significant pests in the greenhouse have been spider mites and aphids. Mites get on the older leaves, aphids on the young shoots.

Aphids have been on the citrus, plums/pluots, blueberries, and apricots. Spider mites have infested citrus, plum/pluot, and peach/nectarine. The grapes and sweet cherries have had neither. The only pest on the grapes has been grape leafhopper.

All fruits had a small leaf roller in 07 and 08. It got pretty bad last yr. But I've figured out how to stop the leaf rollers with 99.9% control. If I leave an exhaust fan running 24/7 there are no leaf rollers. That's because when the fan is running all the fruity smells that apparently attract this pest exit the fan, not thru all the cracks and cervices. The leaf roller moths can't fly in via the fan without getting whacked. Pretty cool!!

I know there are many species specific pests but what have you seen interesting along these lines?
