is there such a thing as Male Loquat tree?

My Golden Nugget Loquat tree was planted 3-4 years ago in a full sun location. It has thrived in vegetative growth and is about 9 feet tall. My neighbors Loquat (not sure what cultivar) is less than half of its size, and yet has produced fruits this year (last year's flower) and is undergoing a new blossom now.

My tree, however, has absolute no sign of flowering yet. I did prune it quite a bit before summer time. I start to wonder if my tree is male. Is there such a thing as male Loquat tree?

It's very frustrating. thanks.
