I like the flush functionally because the seam's right in the middle of my husband's prep space and it allows countertop to be flush with sink. But I know what you mean completely. These were fabricated u-install remnants but I think I could have gotten them to do a different edge in the parts where the seam was going to be as opposed to the exposed edges. But it would have been hard to gauge very exact dimensions w/o professional template. Stupid budget. On the plus side, quartz is 110-130 installed here psf (cheapest corian is 70psf before fabrication) and my counters were 40 psf installed, includes the butcherblock cost of course, so I'm very pleased with the bargain option. Well I checked on ebay tonight and for not being "in-thing" sorry Marian hehehe they are selling like hot cakes..LOL Since our library closed for the summer LOL I can't even check to see if they have any books on the subject so I have been searching the net...........Thanks Marian I never thought about how to read knitting patterns which I don't know how to do..........but my son thinks I am "smart" LoL I told him I have no experience in knitting or crocheting but he said you had no experience in quilting or embroidery and look what you can do now all self taught...he really is trying to "butter me up" LOL.... I have been looking at a lot of different brands and some are no longer made so buying a used one may be hard to find parts.....for me this is like looking for a needle in a haystack since I never did this craft! Oceanna, I am a registered user but it's free and I just click the 'Remember Me' box at logon to set my pc to remember the pass, so usually don't have to worry about it -- until now! since I logged out to try uploading without a sign-on (which I didn't see but got caught up in loading a toolbar, etc.). Thank you all.. they are beautiful pictures. I don’t mind a little asymmetry either. But usually I prefer symmetry. I think it’s the overall look. they also said what most of you said here that the buffet should be centered in the wall, and it’s ok not to have it centered to the table. They even liked the wall color and told me to not to make it more creamier. They said white is pulling the lighter color from the table and it’s fine. getting a little excited now about getting things done. They are going to help me with interior of the rest of the house too.
