I've taken a few night shots too with old camera and look forward to trying it with this one. The macro with this camera is 150 cm (W) (0.4 in.Â1.6 ft. (W)). I was right down on the flowers. There is a lot to read in these manuals, I just plod along and practice. It's a learning experience and a fun one at that. treefrog ~ I've also tried to capture the color of the blue sage with old camera and never could. There are a couple of roses I had the same trouble with, so I hope they come out truer with this new camera as the blue sage did. Evelyn ~ You are so right about picture taking being addicting, almost as addicting as some flowers are. : -) Ambersky ~ I looked up what you thought the purple unknown might be and I'm not sure. Someone else told me something else and that didn't quite look right either. I'll try to get out tomorrow to take a picture of leaves and flowers so you all can see the whole thing. I think of you everytime I'm around the two roses you gave me, Smith's Parrish, and I think the name of the other one is Old Blush, which is in the main garden and doing terrific. "Jane, I cracked up over "Princess to Drama Queen". That most likely applies to most little girls I bet. LOL." It certainly did for DD #1!!! We hung the picture in Dylan's room last night. Amy said when Dylan woke up this morning, she looked at the picture, pointed to it and said "Da". I guess that means she likes it, LOL!! Thanks for the compliments everyone!! I love creating personal items for my kids/grandkids. Amy was reminiscing last night about the Pooh mural I painted for her bedroom when she was small and it was there when we sold that house! She said she was very sad to have to leave it behind when we moved. She is very happy that I painted this one on something that is not permanently part of the wall! Thanks again everyone! Candy

Rail fence pattern leaves only a small strip to write on. If you want messages and best wishes, you might want to consider larger plain squares offset with colored squares and sashing. For fastest results, you can always send each a square of plain fabric and a Pigma pen and have them just write on it and send it back. If you do this, iron freezer paper to the back to stabilize it for the writing part, to be removed by you before the sewing. They also make fabric with a stabilizer on the back that you can run through a computer printer. You can scan the messages and reduce or enlarge each to fit on a fabric square and trim it to size, such as 8 x 8". The hardest part will be to get all the messages back from friends by your deadline. Set the deadline early to give yourself lots of time. Check your LQS for photo fabric. If they don't have it, go to a website such as this and order it. Here is a link that might be useful: photo fabric sheets
