Lucky find! I wish I had another wheelbarrow. Mine currently resides in my veggie garden full of curley parsley, but now that I've seen yours planted up w/flowers I want another! Very pretty!

Way to score! There's a wheelbarrow down the road near the ditch in someone's yard. I haven't decided if they intended for it to be garbage yet or not! It only has one handle,but I'd get it and lay it on it's side:) I just bought one for a DOLLAR a few weeks ago!

Kudzu, just knock on the door and ASK! I have done that a couple of times. Got an old aquarium, and a baby basinet that way!

Oh my goodness. That reminds me of the wheelbarrow my daddy gave me. It's old and rusty but I wouldn't part with it for the world. It's the wheelbarrow that I planted flowers in and now has become my faerie garden. I can't believe someone threw that out. You definately scored! And it looks so pretty.

Oh my gosh! I couldnt believe some of those gorgeous wheelbarrows many of you have! Is there a way to copy and save this thread b/c I really want to hold on to some of those pics for next year's planting ideas.

If you go to The Rust Store (online) they have some stuff -- can't remember what it is called) that changes rust into a coating in and of itself. Of course, given the color of rust, the new coating is a dark brownish black. Using some of that, drilling holes in it, and then painting the holes with rustleum will make your wheel barrows last longer.

My two biggest dreams still are to trash pick a good wheel barrow and a boat that's small enough to carry home. Tohse two things, along with my old grills, have been my favorite dream containers. A bit harder to find such stuff around here -- no real ground to ever need a wheel barrow. I gotta get out in the burbs more often. LOL
