POTM June 07

I didn't finish what I really wanted to finish cuz winter has arrived!! I had started to make the last two trellisses for the entrance to Our Lady Gardyn but it's been raining almost every day for the past 3 weeks, freezing temps at night... bloody cold during the day, too. Too cold for me to play outside! WAAAAHHHH!!

So this is what I did get done.

I finally moved my bed bench to the entrance. My pup Paco decided he wanted to get into the pic.

I finally finished laying the last path in the garden but with the rain I haven't been able to grout between the bricks.

I found this at the flea market at the beginning of the month. Couldn't believe it when I saw it. Fits in so well with my medieval theme. Got it for $8 and I think it's well worth it!

And now I'm making road signs for all the paths. I finished these two and set them in. I have 2 more signs finished but haven't varnished them yet so once those are done I'll add them. I'll let you guess at what other names I came up with.

Cait, no wonder you don't post often! You've been very busy. Everything you do is on such a grand scale! I've enjoyed watching the progression of Our Lady Gardyn. And Paco is cute!

It truly is amazing what you have accomplished this year Cait. It all looks so beautiful. I love the path signs and that garden lamp is just perfect where you have it. It's hard to imagine your winter is setting in when you still have greenery and pretty flowers. I can see those leaves on the ground though. Ok, one of the unfinished new signs is surely "Our Lady Gardyn" (maybe I'm wrong) but I'm stumped as to the other, maybe "Merlin's Way" - am I close?

Hi Cait, That is really cute!! Primary colors are my favorite, and I like that it's graphic and the design is simple. It looks like it can be seen clearly from a distance. Sheri, post that pic. Never too late. Golden Pond: house numbers...great idea for by the curb or sidewalk. It would surely get noticed there. PP: yes I grouted and sealed it. I originally wanted to use a curved pipe to make the stem but could not find one I wanted to use. Glad you all enjoyed it.

MAGICAL....what an amazing garden you've created.

Oh,it's just beautiful. Love the bright colors on your bed bench,and your lamp is perfect. I love your signs,too,the lettering is so good and neat and perfect names.OH,and the vine behind it is very nice,too. Cute fur-baby,mine always thinks I'm taking pics of him,too,and he smiles for the camera even though I'm aiming a couple feet over his head. It's getting too hot to go outside here! I don't think I'll have my POTM finished,and I've been working on it so hard,lol!!

What part of Australia are you from. I have a friend in Toowoomba, Queensland and they are in drought conditions.

Cait, I too have enjoyed seeing you construct your garden. Just love the theme of it, and now with the signs--just perfect. Names for the signs, let's see--how about Dragon's Drive, King Arthur's Ave., Excaliber Expressway, King's Krossing--that's all from me, I think. LOL Great job you have done on it, just love your brick paths. Luvs

Kudzo - Do you mean the vine behind the bench on the trellis? That's an Akiba quinata (or something like that), chocolate vine. The flowers are supposed to smell like chocolate and I'm waiting for it to flower to see if that's true.

Katladie - I'm in a little town in Victoria. Toowoomba is kinda far away. hehe

Luvs - those names are GREAT!!! I especially love Dragon's Drive. You have me trying to figure out how I can add another path to the garden so I can use that name! HA! I may also now have to make a path to the garden so I can have an Excalibur Expressway! I am thinking of putting in a little pond in so I can have the Lady of the Lake! HA!! The fun never ends!

wow You have done so much this summer!!! It is all so beautiful!!! I love your garden!!!!! The names for the walkways are so cute too!!!! Enjoy the cool there cuz ...we are expecting 106-110 on July 4th here...not looking forward to that.
