Eveything I read here about Strawberries was spot on!

I started with about 100 bare root plants last year.

Had a decent harvest but heard that the second year would be my best year, with the third starting to decline.

Some plants got a lot of love, some were abused. Even so, they performed for me.

Well, I must say, I have been harvesting handfuls every day or so since June. They are not only abundant but huge.

Although most use coins to show size, this sucker was so huge, it demanded a dollar bill!

I am questioning what to do for next year?

Let these dwindle down and plant another group of bare roots to get started?

Most of the runners were cut last year or used to create new plants. Very few plants are sending out runners this year. is that typical?
