While you have neat ideas on your site, I wonder about the pictures, I refer to some of your suitcase ideas. Did you get permission from HGTV and Country Sampler Mag. to use their photos, with links to their instructions. These are just two examples.
Some companies really frown :-( when another site 'borrows' their pictures.

Thank you for your concern, however, Since the pictures link to their sight, creating traffic for them, I doubt they'd have any problems with it. If they ever asked, I'd remove the links right away. I was asked once to remove a link by Dave's Garden. I never post pics that I've seen over at Dave's Garden because of this. Their loss though, because my site does generate a lot of traffic.

I always see she asks for permission on GJweb. And in looking at her page I see credits that are links to the original sites. If I copy one that was made on TV and I give her permission, that would seem that it was ok. So I do not feel any concern myself.

Here's some interesting reading from HGTV. I'm sure other sites you have borrowed photos from have something similar in their 'legal' information. Maybe it's different on forums, who knows, I just see a lot of borrowed ideas lately and wondered what would happen if these big companies are directed to your site and others? Like Dave Gardens they might just ask you to remove the info..then again???

Wired, you are assuming that I did not get permission.

I try not to 'assume' anything, but did you get permission? IF you did, there should be something on you site to indicate 'permission has been granted by HGTV, Country Sampler, etc, etc. for use of photos, and links to their sites'. IF you did not get permission from these sites, you might think about doing so.

On a personal note.. My DH sells on ebay, like you do. Not so long ago, he had a auction going and was 'looking at other auctions' low and behold he came across one seller who' stole my DH photos' True story. Needless to say ebay banned the seller..It got a little nasty, but worked out for my DH.

It's pretty darn easy to 'borrow' photos these days for sure, and if the right people find out..it's not a 'pretty picture' after all :-)

I for one would like this topic to be put to rest.
I really like all her pictures. I would think that enough people belong to Garden Junk that also look at Ebay. Someone would have mentioned it by now if she was using pic's of someone else.
Let's get back to making things.

You are fine!!! It's ok to respond to older posts. There are no rules about this....I sometimes move a post up so newbee's can see what they've missed. And sometimes I miss things myself and respond...even though I try to check in on a daily basis. YOu have nothing to worry about.
