Paw paw problems

Just planted last spring 2 NC-1s and one each of Sunflower and Mary Foos Johnson. They're just a few feet apart from each other. I think they've done well, but some small black dots have appeared on just a few leaves. I can roll them right off with my finger.

There's also the problem that's obvious in the picture, Is it a nutritional deficiency? A fungus? Some articles say paw paws become vulnerable to fungi when nutrition is inadequate, but it's now 8/29, kind of late for fertilizer.

Are the dots an insect I have to spray against? should I apply some fertilizer? It's 8/29, kind of late for fertilizer. Should I spray an antifungal? Should I remove the affected leaves?

Only Sunflower is badly affected, but there are few black dots on the others.

Everything was going so well. What should I do?
