I have to admit I'm only showing you the part of the yarden(my new word thanks to you guys!) that is weeded and mulched and am digging thru foot high weeds in the rest(only weeded 2x last yr!!) I'm overwhelmed, but to go out and see what little I have accomplished is such a good feeling! And DH is getting into it now!!! Yippeee a helper! The teacup on a pedestal is glued on, a big wind broke it but I just stand it against the wall now so you don't notice the broken part. The amber rooster was at a antique and collectibles fair, the guy said he believes it used to be made for a maple syrup company, it used to sit in the kitchen window but I've been enjoying putting dust collecters outside!!

I am not sure if the author in the article below succeeded in capturing the essence of Monet. What do you think? Regardless I thought the idea of dedicating a 4x4 foot plot to create a canvas was a fun idea. Wouldn't it be fun for forum members to create a canvas with a mutually agreed theme and then share our individual outcomes. Four Hundred and fifty dollars for an instant garden is a ridiculous amount of cash but if we started planning now for next spring/summer winter sowing, dividing, and swaps could make the cost minimal. I love the first and last stripe! I like the way the line draws your eye up and the last one is simple enough to not compete with the rug or the armoire. the one I picked was tough; there were so many that had your colors in them at Horchow! That one seemed to go more with your rug (which looked red, gold and brown on my monitor!)because it didn't have any green, but in the end I was thinking it had a subtlety that might work. having all of the colors represented is probably your best bet, though- it definitely brings your eye all the way around the room in a nice way. IMHO, you can't make your walls look too tall. Drawing the eye up is almost always a great thing. And I think some height will balance out the weight of the armoire as well. but only you can see how things look in person! clearly you have great taste!

More pics, more pics!!! Love the plate flower! And the mushroom, what is that you've got for the top? You shared pictures, and that's a start...but now you have to share INSTRUCTIONS TOO! LOL!

I will get some more things posted and instructions soon. If you put dee54 into search it will bring up my plate flowers that I posted pics and instructions on earlier this year. Glad you like what I have made and I am glad to share.

I'm interested to see a close up of the blue stake glass thingy! Looks very interesting. What do you plan to use that for--decoration, hose guard??

I have checked out your closeups they are wonderful. Please post one more. I would love to see a picture of the flower with the leaves looks like a peach or pink color. You have made some wonderful treasures.
