Evans Cherry

Beeone

My Evans cherry had a great year again this year. Just picked them a few days ago after netting them in late July when they were turning red and the birds got active. The birds did strip off quite a few on the tops of the branches through the netting, but there were still a lot left. Very nice cherries.

Plus, after hearing people say they were prolific suckerers, I found when picking that I now have 2 suckers coming up, so will dig and replant or give them away.

Included is a picture of the tree in bloom this spring. Anybody able to identify the moth that was on the flowers? There were quite a few of them around this spring visiting all the fruit trees.
