Aloe Vera Questions

Hello,

I've had an aloe vera plant for almost a year.

When I first got it from my grandmother, it was growing a little bit. I repotted it after a few months into a terra cotta pot and used some cactus/succulent mix. With the larger pot, the growth EXPLODED! It seemed that it was bigger almost every time I looked at it.

Now, it seems to have stopped growing. Some of the lower leaves have started to die back. I think they're dying because they're getting snapped because they're dying from the center out instead of from the tips but I'm not sure.

The plant is also leaning to one side but I think that's due to me leaving it facing one direction by the window too long because it feels VERY solid in the pot.

Also, the soil doesn't seem to dry out as fast as I would expect. When it was outside most of the time it would dry out pretty fast. Now that it's inside, it can go for a few weeks before it starts feeling dry at the surface.

Am I doing ok with this plant or do I need to make changes?
