What 2 do with big stained glass window

I have a big stained glass window that is pretty beat up and would like to use it in the garden somehow but I'm out of ideas. Anyone have any ideas. It's roughly 1 ft by 3 1/2 foot. I thought about hanging it from a tree so that I can see it from my office window.

I think I would make a coffee table out of it.

I've got two faux stained glass windows that I hung on a fence and they looked really pretty there. Now I'm planning to hang them off the gazebo around our hot tub to block the view...don't want to scare off the new neighbor behind us when DH and I go out to take a soak! haha

But either zinc or lead cane will work. Usually you just solder on a ring and hanging with chain or wire.

I think any medium used to paint over colored glass would leave that piece of glass opaque. The light wouldn't shine through the glass any more.

I agree. I was thinking something with clean lines (no curtains). Would you do a shade on the door itself and a separate one for the adjacent sidelight? Or would you do a single shade across the door/sidelight opening (and you would have to raise it to use the door)?

However you hang it, make sure it's supported by attaching the bottom part to something also so it doesn't swing in the wind and get trashed around. You could make a frame all around it and then using eye-hooks at each corner, suspend it in the middle. I have a couple of garden windows saved for future reference and I can't just copy them into this post (I'm also running out of time here for me to get going here). Do a search on the first page of the forum here and type in "garden windows" and you should get past posts of hanging windows because those are the pics I was looking for.
