I recently mentioned in a thread that I had been diagnosed with Lung Cancer and had to let my garden go to pot because of surgery and chemo. I want to thank you all for the private messages. Thanks for the link. It must be better for you to post things once on a website than fill concerned people in individually. You have been in my thoughts since you posted the news. In particular, I love your garden pictures, and hope that the treatments work so you can continue to garden.

Good advice about chest X-Rays for EVERYBODY, smokers or not.

Thanks anney and I love that little web site. My husband made it for me. I just posted a couple of sentences here regarding my diagnosis and I have received so many many messages from the Gardening websites. I didn't realize people even knew me..or that I had made any impression on anyone...LOL

We are maybe 3/4 way through a 6000+ Mile RV trip so my Beloved took me fishing today for my birthday. We are in Joliet IL at the Hollywood Casino and we went trout fishing in Bolingbrook, IL. At a lace called hidden lakes..unfortunately didn't catch anything. He bought us new rods and reels ..his birthday six Saturday...and he actually broke his rod trying to retrieve a jig. Not a smart move. We had fun and I always want to catch fish but always say when I don't that fishing isn't all about catching fish and that was particularly true today as it was so beautiful and cool.

slk7e7, I have never run it on high and likely never will - there is likely nothing wrong with your installation...it just sounds like a jet taking off on high! I knew this going in, but could not find the look I wanted in a quieter hood without paying 3x the money. Since I do not fry, I find the hood totally sufficient on low or med-low to take care of moisture from boiling or sautéing.

I am so sorry to hear you are sick, I have always enjoyed your posts. Did the pot in the garden help with the chemo? (just kidding, humor is supposed to help)
