When I was young, they used to make foot wipe mats for the back and side doors with them. Turn them upside down and nail close together and voila. When it gets full of mud, just hose it off.

I used some to make checker board pieces :) The checkerboard is painted on top of an old barstool and it sits on the porch :)

LOL, if I had access to them, I would probably try using them to make a garden path. I have had bottle caps get stuck in my clay dirt and they don't come up! I like the footwiper idea too though.

I found a chair covered in bottle caps that looks very neat. Check out the picture below. It is in someone's photo album at flickr.

Here is a great link. Tons of ideas! Got me thinking of those old fashioned beer can hats. Anybody remember them? Cut squares out of beer cans (be sure to get the logo!), punch holes around the outside and crochet together. Totally kitchy! Good memory, though. ;-)

Oh, I have the best idea! Also makes a great gift! You can use them to make a mosaic paver stone. Use a mold, fill with cement mix and push in the bottle caps. I thought of doing that myself.

I rescued an old coffee table, hoping to paint it an attach the caps to in in some decorative manner, but I can't decide how to best attach them.

My favorites are probably the Gusinness caps, a gold harp surrounded by black.

Here's another site with lots of fun stuff. They're easy to pound on anything, with either nails or screws, or probably glue. I put some on this birdhouse, but have covered some small items with them (no photos). Instant art. Linda

I also have tons of beer caps. I use my to make picture frames. Just glue to a frame then grout. I have also covered clay pots with bottle caps then grout, I use them for candle holder or ashtrays. Sorry no pics. I will try post some.

pghgardnewbie, I forgot all about those "bowl" people made from bottle caps. I always thought those were pretty cool. I could see making some sort of figurine for the garden with arms and legs made of bottle caps. Something like that with a bowl would make a cute bird feeder.

And I followed one of the links at that Bottle Cap Masters' web site to a Christmas tree at a bar in Kenosha, Wisconsin made of bottle caps. Next time I am down that way, I'll have to try and find it.

kandm, I recognized Snow White and her odd number of dwarves (she is missing 2 or 3) from Grandview near Hollandale, Wisconsin! I went there a couple of years ago and that place is truly awesome.

LOL! A friend was going to use wine labels for a border in her kitchen and asked all her friends to drink wine so she could have all of the labels. ;)

I saw some really cute birhouses (fake) that were made from 2 x 2's about 12 inches long, then there were holes made by a paddle drill to look like holes, then they used the caps as little decorations. they used wire here and there and then they used maybe bendable copper for the roof.. I see if I can find a pic I am sure I have it somewhere. I know I filed that for future copying..
