A Blue Glass Birdfeeder for My Wife

Hi everyone! Wanted to share a gift I made for my wife Carol this week. Our kitty broke one of our teacup birdfeeders when it was stored in the garage this winter. (Bad kitty! LOL) I took off the brass cap from the bottom of the broken feeder and attached it to a Dollar Tree candle plate and a cool blue bowl I found at our local thrift store. Sandy (aka use2bcapecodr) told me about the Dollar Tree candle dishes. Thank you Sandy!

The old feeder had wire mesh down inside it so the sunflower seeds would be toward the top, and any water would go to the bottom. It didnÂt really matter because the birds emptied it daily! :o) Anyways, wanted to share my simple creation with my GardenWeb Junking friends! I actually dreamed over and over again one night about putting it together. So, I finally assembled it so I could have a good nightÂs sleep. Ha! ENJOY! Bear Hugs! Kirk (Placed it outside for the picture but brought the feeder back in until things get warmer here.)
