broken out of sync baby Asian pear

Hello,

I have a 2 year old 3-type grafted Asian pear. I was thrilled when 2 grafts bloomed profusely this year. (The 3rd graft bloomed later.) I dutifully plucked dozens of mini pears, leaving 3 of each type. One type (don't know which) was on thin branches, which I didn't realize would be a problem until the branch sagged. I tied it up to a larger branch, and all seemed well until the last storm; it broke at the point where I had tied it and the not-yet-ripe pears went down.

I have 2 questions. Are the 3 types likely to bloom more in-sync in the future, or is the later type doomed? (i.e.is this the same from year to year?)

If I am able to tie the pears better next year, is this OK to do? I'm not sure I'll know when the branches are big enough to support the weight. If they sag, is that my hint that the tree isn't up to producing yet?

Thanks,

Ann
