Fear of losing spaghetti squash

azmab

This is what is left of a spaghetti squash that endured 114 degree days in the Arizona summer. {{gwi:115034}}I built a canopy to stop direct sunlight. After removing the canopy and dead leaves the plant looks sickly, but has active growing fruit. (I was diligent about watering 2-3 times per day. Upon closer inspection I saw these insects absolutely swarmed on a majority of leaves. {{gwi:115035}} I am not opposed to spraying an insecticide or doing whatever is necessary to save these fruits.

First of all, what are these things and what appears needed to be done to save what I've got. I'm guessing I've got about 3 weeks before the first squash is ready for harvest.

Thanks in advance for any help.
