final sprays and other questions

thomis

This is my first year getting a few apples. I'm pretty excited. So far, the following was this year's spray regimen:

Feb: pruning and dormant oil

April: two applications (Myclobutanil) for CAR

May: one last application for CAR with some Triazicide added

Then, a second Triazicide application two weeks later

June: One application of Sevin for Jap beetles

Next year I will add Streptomycin for FB, as it finally made an appearance in my orchard. I may have to apply Sevin once more for Jap beetles later this month.

Do I need another application of Triazicide? I inspected all the apples and found PC on one single apple, so I think the Triazicide worked. I'm not sure if I have coddling moth or apply fly maggot, but there does not appear to be any other fruit damage.

Varieties with fruit this year are:

Grimes Golden

Carolina Red June

Aunt Rachel

Old Fashioned-Winesap

Yates

Goldrush

Red Rebel

Roxbury Russet

One Smokehouse apple (!)

I think the CRJ should be ready in 3 to 4 weeks. Perhaps it should be called Carolina Red July.

No CAR this year at all.

What can bite me at this time of year (besides squirrels/ coons, etc)? Please let me know what I'm missing spray-wise.

(I bagged no fruit, by the way)
