I don't know or grow these, but I'll share 2 plant growing tips. Pls. stop fertilizing, it's not like medicine to fix ailing plants. It's best to fertilize healthy plants when they're in active growth. Given to ailing plants it won't help, sorry. 2nd tip: I'd suggest you take the whole plant out of the pot & inspect the roots for damage, rot &/or insects. One of my best plant growing mentors used to say that trying to diagnose an ailing plant w/out unpotting it out to check the roots is like trying to see while blindfolded. HTH = hope this helps.

First of all, in case you are unaware, the "Ponytail Palm" is not a true Palm. For the Beaucarnea and Cycas revoluta, you can drill some large holes along the sides of the pot and plunge them in their pots below the ground. In the fall, lift the pots and trim back any roots that escaped. Cycas revoluta can handle the root pruning better than most other cycad varieties so you can get away with it. Planting a true Palm into the ground and then pulling it out at the end of the season is a surefire way to hurt your plant. For most, if not all, Palms - when a root is damaged it can die all the way back to the base of the stem. Unlike dicots where severed roots will branch out. So if you damage enough Palm roots you can make it very difficult for the plant to heal itself, especially if it is not done during an active growing period. The various Date Palms (Phoenix sp.) come to mind as a Palm variety that seems to be able to better cope with root trauma. Some, like Bismarckia, are notorious for not being able to survive from root trauma especially when young. x

My ponytail flowered 6 months ago (Aussie summer) and sprouted 3 flowers off 3 heads. The foliage seems to be growing up these flower stems so over time I'll wait and see what happens. They say it can take these plants 30 years to flower but this plant is less than 20 years old. Is that normal? Plant is on 100% sand (Perth coastal strip) Never gets a feed and is Bore watered 3x times a week in summer and loves it. It has fresh shoots popping out the base. This plant was once on a fence line and was basically starved for space. Now in the open it has bloomed. I have another to shift which is also fenceline material. Don't know whether to sell it or keep it. They look amazing. Almost prehistoric. I call my free one Cousin It.

I agree. Not a Dracaena. Totally different plant. elucas, check out the difference in the leaf shape and the plant’s general appearance and habit in the original poster’s images & video as compared to the plant in the link in your post. The plant in your link has much wider and shorter leaves while the OP’s plant’s leaves are much longer & skinnier. Not to be offended, though. I have put myself out there before too and been wrong. In general I suck at plant id. It just happens that both of these plants are very familiar to me.
